Sunday 22nd January - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

It was an excellent evening's football in the Nuneaton Academy Sunday 6 a side league this week with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled, including two new teams who made their debuts in the Premier Division. 

Shed FC came over from Etone after finishing as Champions there, and they carried on in the same vein in this league as they romped to an impressive 5-2 win over Gylfi's Young Boys.  The other new boys Goals Aloud were a late addition to the league and gave a good account of themselves as they pushed The Allies all the way, losing 3-2 with something to build on for future weeks.  Jack's Army were in superb form this week as they won the battle of the top two at a canter, thrashing Borussia Teeth 7-1 to leapfrog them in the table, whilst Misfits completed the action by thrashing Dixy Pigeons 6-1.

Division One leaders Extra Special Ones made it 5 wins in a row this week as they dispatched of Hardly Athletic by 3 goals to 1, whilst Wanyamas In Pyjamas stay a point off the pace as they were 2-0 victors against Rainbow Sparkles.  Egg Fried Reus moved up to third place with a single goal victory against Globo Gym in a tight encounter.  Kroos Control completed the action as they sit in mid-table after a 4-0 win against Depays.
