Sunday 23rd April - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

Welcome to the Nuneaton 6-a-side league match roundup for Sunday, April 23rd, where the state-of-the-art 3G surface at Nuneaton Academy provided the perfect platform for an action-packed day of football. With all teams in attendance, barring a handful, we welcome back Wanyamas In Pyjamas, Egg Fried Reus and Schindler's Assist next week.

We welcome new team Tuffnells FC to the league as a replacement for Shed FC who have been removed following their non-attendance.  We wish the new boys good luck in their debut game on Sunday 30th!

In the Premier Division, Borussia Teeth showed off their impressive form with a convincing 4-1 victory over Gylfis Young Boys. Their opponents were left toothless in the face of their attacking prowess, with Borussia Teeth's sharp incisors proving too much to handle. Meanwhile, Extra Special Ones were left feeling less than special after a 3-9 thrashing from Jack's Army. It seems that Jack's Army was too well-armed for their opponents, with their precise shots leaving Extra Special Ones struggling to keep up.

In Division One, Rainbow Sparkles and Kroos Control FC played out an entertaining 2-2 draw, with both teams shining brightly on the day. The Dixy Pigeons had no trouble finding the back of the net, as they cruised to a comfortable 4-0 win over Hardly Athletic. Meanwhile, The Backstreet Moyes and Homo Sissoko went head to head in a closely-fought match, with the latter emerging victorious in a 4-3 win.

In Division Two, Globo Gym Purple Cobras were no match for Lad on Toure, who ran out 7-1 winners. The Cobras seemed to be feeling the squeeze, with Lad on Toure proving to be too quick and too agile for them to handle. Jubilee Juggernauts, on the other hand, were left reeling after a 0-4 defeat to Lemon Skittles. It seems that the Juggernauts hit a roadblock, with Lemon Skittles bouncing around them with ease. Finally, Who Ate All Depays were left with a bitter taste in their mouths after a 0-5 defeat to Unipart United. It seems that Who Ate All Depays were missing their appetite for goals, while Unipart United were more than happy to feast on them.

We would like to remind all teams that they can call Shaun at Head Office with any queries regarding their league on 0333 123 2340 (Local Rate Number). We would also like to thank all teams for their continued commitment and reliability, which ensures the league runs on time and smoothly each week. Finally, we would like to wish all teams good luck going into game week 4 with Nuneaton's premier and only providers of small-sided football!
