Sunday 23rd November - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

It was a superb start to the new season in the Nuneaton Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled across all divisions, the only exception being a cancellation from Borussia Teeth who return as normal next week.

In the top-tier Premier League, EEFC made a stunning start to the season, crushing The Scoregasms 5-0, marking themselves firmly as the team to beat this season. The clash between Stevos Turtle Beach Headset and Hardly Athletic ended in a goalless deadlock, while Puyol Pants Down edged out Norfolk N Chance 2-1 in a closely contested match.

The Division 1 saw some intense and closely contested matches. THE ALLIES FC emerged victorious against Age Doesnt Mateta with a 2-1 victory, while Ricky Spanish FC mirrored the same score against The Ladthsss. However, the highlight of Division 1 was HCU's thrilling 3-2 win over NUNEATON KINGS FC, proving it's not just the Premier League where the big action is.

In the Division 2, the matches were no less exciting. Salah-vation Army and Atherstone United shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw, while Misfits and Barely Athletic mirrored the same scoreline in their match.

The Division 3 saw some high-scoring matches, with Extra Special Ones routing Tuffnells FC 7-1, and Tiki Tanaka putting 6 past Lads On Toure for a 6-1 win. Rubbergently also made a strong start, defeating Rainbow Sparkles 3-0.
