Sunday 24th August - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

Overall it was a good evening's football in the Nuneaton Sunday 6 a side league this week.  We did however have a handful of teams missing owing to the Bank Holiday, but we welcome back Backshot FC, Net 6 and Chill and Atherstone Town FC to the league from Sunday 31st August.

In the Premier League division, THE ALLIES FC stood victorious against Ligmatip with a remarkable 3-1 win, making their presence known in the league standings. The competitive spirit was equally high over in Division 1, with Age Doesnt Mateta falling short against Challenged FC who secured a 2-1 win, while Hardly Athletic demonstrated their prowess with a resounding 3-0 triumph over Borussia Teeth.

Division 2 saw Extra Special Ones and Puyol Pants Down battling it out to a 1-1 draw, while Rubbergently and Lads On Toure thrilled spectators with a 4-3 scoreline. HighAndWideFC left their mark with a 4-0 demolition of Misfits, adding an emphatic statement to their league aspirations.

In Division 3, Rainbow Sparkles outshone Tiki Tanaka with a 4-2 victory, while Tuffnells FC narrowly missed out to Royal Mail-drid in a 3-4 cliffhanger. Meanwhile, Ricky Spanish FC dominated the scoreline with a bold 4-0 win against Salah-vation Army.
