Sunday 24th February - Nuneaton Round-Up

It was another good evening of 6 a side football in Nuneaton on Sunday which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled including new team TBDB FC who played their first match and picked up an impressive 5-2 win over Mean Machine.

Deportivo's huge lead has disappeared within 2 weeks after back to back defeats!  They were beaten 3-2 by Inter YN whilst Jacks Army won 3-0 against Sky Blues 87, so they now sit level on points at the top of the table, Deportivo's goal difference is still substantially better though and may be worth an extra point come the end of the season.  Exeter Gently are placed just behind the top two as they beat Cheeky Milandos 3-0.

In Division One Dark Fruit FC were 1-0 winners over Egg Fried Reus and stay in pole position, four points clear of second placed Real Sosobad who were beaten 2-0 Madeleine Milan, it looks as though games are running out for them to be caught now.  The final game of Division one saw Dixy Pigeons and Extra Special Ones cancel each other out in a drab 0-0 draw, as four teams are locked on 8 points in the bottom half of the division.
