Sunday 27th August - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

It was a good evening's football overall in the Nuneaton Academy Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled, barring Lad On Toure who will be confirmed to return to action on Sunday 3rd September.  Egg Fried Reus and Bank FC were also away owing to the Bank Holiday weekend, but both return to action on Sunday 3rd September!

In the Premier League division, Jack's Army displayed their prowess, securing a convincing 2-0 victory over Misfits, a big result for Jack's as they look to avoid relegation.

Meanwhile, in Division 1, Gylfis Young Boys put on a commanding performance, outclassing Kroos Control FC with a remarkable 5-0 win. FC Positivity also demonstrated their strength by edging out The BackStreet Moyes in a thrilling encounter that ended 3-2 in a well competed encounter.

Division 2 witnessed nail-biting battles, with Globo Gym Purple Cobras emerging victorious with a narrow 1-0 win against Rainbow Sparkles, thanks to a last minute winner in an otherwise tightly competed game. Sky Blue Army also showcased their skill, securing a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Kevos Kids, who's goalkeeper was on fire this week and kept the score down single handedly.

In Division 3, Murder On Zidanes Floor ran rampant, clinching a resounding 9-0 triumph against Schindlers Assist. Set 8 also displayed their sharpness in front of the goal, securing a 2-0 victory over KBTS.

The Nuneaton Sunday 6-a-side Football League continues to provide an excellent platform for local teams to showcase their skills and compete at a high level. As the season progresses, teams are displaying their determination and passion for the game, keeping it entertaining week on week.
