Sunday 28th January - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Nuneaton Academy Sunday 6 a side league this week with all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled and some well competed games played across all five divisions.  The only team missing was EEFC who had notified us with 7 days notice of their unavailability, they return to action on Sunday 4th February.


In the Premier League division, The Allies FC announced their dominance with a resounding 9-1 victory over FC Positivity. This scoreline has elevated them to the top of the week's scorers. Meanwhile, Wanyamas in Pyjamas outmaneuvered Misfits 3-1, and Jack's Army narrowly defeated Gylfis Young Boys 3-2 in a thrilling finish.


Division 1 brought its own share of drama, with Norfolk N Chance edging past Dixy Pigeons 4-3. Murder On Zidanes Floor claimed a comfortable 3-0 win over Rooney Tunes, while Hardly Athletic fell to Extra Special Ones 1-3. It was a high scoring week for Norfolk N Chance, who topped Division 1 scoring chart.


In Division 2, Pain In Dias overpowered Beduff Rangers with a 5-2 victory to top the division's weekly scoring. A resurgent Ricky Spanish FC trounced Kevos Kids 6-0, while Borussia Teeth carved out a solid 7-2 win against Eric Bantona.


In Division 3, AFC Windmilldons squeezed a 1-0 win against NetSixAndChill. The Griddlers managed to defeat Kroos Control FC 2-0. The Griddlers were the top scorers for Division 3 this week.


Lastly, Division 4 had some thrilling matches. Set 8 and Blue Crown FC ended in a 2-2 draw. Real Sosobad comfortably defeated Tuffnells FC 4-0, while Rainbow Sparkles and Lads On Toure ended in a goalless draw. Real Sosobad topped the scoring chart for this division.
