Sunday 29th January - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

It was an excellent evening's football in the Nuneaton Academy Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled and some superb football played across both divisions.

The Allies moved back to their familiar top spot in the Premier Division, although only on goal difference as they were 6-2 winners over Jack's Army, despite Borussia Teeth's narrow 1-0 win over Gylfi's Young Boys.  Goals Aloud picked up a positive result in their second week, beating Misfits 2-0, whilst Shed FC and Dixy Pigeons had to settle for a point apiece in a game that ended 1-1.  

Division One leaders Extra Special Ones now drop to second place as they were beaten 2-1 by Egg Fried Reus, allowing Wanyama's In Pyjamas to go above them after they were 3-2 victors over Who Ate All Depays.  Hardly Athletic keep their place in fourth after a well earned 4-1 win over Rainbow Sparkles, whilst Kroos Control were 2-0 winners against Globo Gym Purple Cobras to remain in fifth.
