It was a good evening's football overall in the Nuneaton Sunday 6 a side league this week as the season came to an end with some well competed matches played to cap the campaign off.
In the Premier League, the final week of the season saw Age Doesnt Mateta narrowly edge out Challenged FC with a 1-0 victory, while EEFC secured a hard-fought 2-1 win over THE ALLIES FC. EEFC emerged as the triumphant champions of the Premier League division, boasting an impressive total of 19 points and 9 wins throughout the season.
Meanwhile, in Division 1, Hardly Athletic demonstrated their prowess with a dominating 8-2 win against the Misfits. The consistency of Ligmatip throughout the season paid off, as they clinched the Division 1 title with a total of 16 points and 8 wins.
The Division 2 matches were equally as exciting, with Barely Athletic securing a close 2-1 win over Rubbergently. However, it was Atherstone Town FC that ultimately triumphed as the Division 2 champions with 18 points and 9 wins.
Division 3 saw a higher-scoring match, with HighAndWideFC outscoring Extra Special Ones 4-2, while Salah-vation Army shut out Ricky Spanish FC 2-0. Rainbow Sparkles also shone brightly with a 3-1 victory over Tuffnells FC. However, the Extra Special Ones were the ones to walk away as Division 3 champions, having accumulated 15 points from 7 wins throughout the season.
