Sunday 3rd March - Nuneaton Round-Up

It was another superb evening of 6 a side football in Nuneaton on Sunday which saw all teams in attendance bar a couple of cancellations.  Egg Fried Reus cancelled with 7 days notice and return on Sunday 10th March, and there was a cancellation on the day from Sky Blues 87 due to a shortage of players, we thank them for cancelling and look forward to their return on 10th.

Deportivo LF stay top of the Premier Division and all but put Exeter Gently out of the title race as the two met this week, a match which Deportivo ran out 4-2 winners and pulled 4 points clear of their opponents in the process.  Jack's Army are still digging their heels in though and only goal difference currently separates the two as it looks like it could go down to the wire, the two meet on the final week of the season, the question is whether it will stay level until then?

Cheeky Milandos completed the action in the top division and beat relegation threatened Misfits 5-2.

There was a turn up for the books in Division One as top of the table Dark Fruit lost for just the third time this season, not only did they lose, but they were thrashed 5-1 by sixth placed Mean Machine.

Second placed Real Sosobad failed to take advantage of the above result and instead lost by an even bigger margin as they were downed 6-1 by newcomers TBDB FC.   Madeleine Milan's 3-0 victory over Extra Special Ones incredibly sees six teams locked on 10 points with three games to play in an extraordinary campaign.

We wish all teams the best of luck going into the next round of fixtures with Nuneaton's premier small sided football provider.
