Sunday 3rd September - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

It was another good evening's football in the Nuneaton Academy Sunday 6 a side league this week overall.  We had a handful of absences due to the end of the holiday season but look forward to welcoming back Egg Fried Reus, Unipart United and Bank FC to the league this weekend.

We also welcome new team Pathetico Madrid to the action this weekend!  We wish these good luck going into their first game on Sunday 10th September in Division One.

In the Premier League, THE ALLIES FC emerged victorious with a resounding 4-1 win over Wanyamas In Pyjamas. The Allies' attack was led by their top scorer, who showcased exceptional precision in front of the net, securing their victory. Misfits also displayed their domination over the pitch with a 2-0 victory over Dixy Pigeons.


Division 1 witnessed an intense clash between The BackStreet Moyes and Extra Special Ones, with The BackStreet Moyes edging ahead with a 1-0 win. The solitary goal was scored by their leading marksman, who proved to be the difference-maker in this closely contested encounter. FC POSITIVITY showcased their attacking prowess, thrashing Kroos Control FC 5-1, with their top scorer making a significant impact on the scoreline.


In Division 2, Globo Gym Purple Cobras outplayed Beduff Rangers, emerging victorious with a 3-1 scoreline. Tekkerslovakia exhibited exceptional teamwork and skill, overpowering Hardly Athletic 4-2. Meanwhile, Tuffnells FC secured a narrow 1-0 win against Sky Blue Army, thanks to a superb individual effort from their standout performer. Kevos Kids and Rainbow Sparkles shared the spoils, settling for a 1-1 draw.


Division 3 witnessed gripping encounters as well. Set 8 triumphed over Do-little FC with a 2-1 victory, with their sharpshooter proving to be the hero of the match. Schindlers Assist showcased their defensive prowess, keeping a clean sheet in their commanding 3-0 win over KBTS. Ricky Spanish FC secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Murder On Zidanes Floor to wrap up the evening's action.
