Sunday 5th March - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Nuneaton Academy Sunday 6 a side league this week overall, with all teams in attendance as scheduled and some well competed matches played throughout the night, across all three divisions.

The Allies took a two point lead in the Premier Division this week as their 3-1 win over Shed FC, coupled with second placed Jacks Army suffered a shock 6-0 thrashing against Misfits.  Borussia Teeth moved back into the title race as they were 3-1 winners over new team Homo Sissoko.  The action was completed by a cagey affair between Dixy Pigeons and Gylfi's Young Boys who drew 0-0.

Division One leaders Wanyamas In Pyjamas keep their place at the top and move four points clear following an entertaining 4-2 win over Extra Special Ones, keeping them unbeaten so far this campaign.  Who Ate All Depays and Hardly Athletic had to settle for a point each in an entertaining 3-3 draw, whilst bottom team Globogym put in a solid performance and nabbed a 1-0 win against Rainbow Sparkles!

In the new mini Division Two, Birdies Boys got their third win in a row as they put in a solid performance to win 2-0 against Schindlers Assist, whilst Backstreet Moyes looked impressive as they got a second win on the bounce by beating Jubilee Juggernauts 3-1.
