Sunday 7th May - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

Football fans in Nuneaton were treated to another thrilling round of matches in the Sunday 6 a side league at the Nuneaton Academy Sports Centre. Game week 5 saw some teams assert their dominance while others struggled to keep up with the pace.

In the Premier Division, The Allies FC proved too strong for Jack's Army, winning the game 7-1. Meanwhile, Borussia Teeth kept their teeth firmly in the title race with a 2-0 victory over Extra Special Ones. Tuffnells FC suffered a crushing defeat, losing 5-1 to Misfits, while Wanyamas in Pyjamas narrowly edged out Gylfis Young Boys 2-1.

In Division One, Birdies Boys soared to a 5-1 victory over Dixy Pigeons, while Kroos Control FC held on for a 2-1 win against Homo Sissoko. Rainbow Sparkles were unable to brighten their day as they lost 2-1 to Hardly Athletic, and The Backstreet Moyes were unable to find their rhythm, losing 1-0 to Egg Fried Reus.

In Division Two, Lad on Toure put on a spirited performance to come out on top with a 2-1 win over Wootton Street Wanderers. Unipart United cruised to a 5-1 win against Schindlers Assist, while Globo Gym Purple Cobras and Jubilee Juggernauts played out a goalless draw. Finally, Who Ate All Depays were left with a sour taste in their mouth after Lemon Skittles handed them a 3-0 defeat.
