Sunday 8th February - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

It was an excellent evening's football to open the new season in the Nuneaton Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches throughout the night as scheduled.

In the Premier League Division, THE ALLIES FC set the ball rolling with a strong performance against Age Doesnt Mateta, securing a decisive 3-1 victory. EEFC triumphed over Stevos Turtle Beach Headset with a comprehensive 3-0 win, while Puyol Pants Down squeezed out a victory against King Street All-Stars with a 4-3 margin. Norfolk N Chance also started their campaign on a winning note, defeating Ladzio by 2 goals to nil.

Switching the attention to Division 1, Extra Special Ones outplayed The Ladthsss with a 3-1 win. A tightly contested match between Salah-vation Army and Misfits ended in a 1-1 draw. Rubbergently managed to clinch a 2-0 victory over Ricky Spanish FC, and Zooted And Booted put on a dominant display by defeating 2nd A Town 3-0.

In Division 2, Wootton Street Wanderers came out on top against Barely Athletic with a 4-1 win. Borussia Teeth edged past Tuffnells FC in a closely fought match that ended 2-1. Tiki Tanaka rounded off the night with a high scoring 5-2 win over Rainbow Sparkles.
