Sunday 8th January - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Nuneaton Academy Sunday 6 a side league this week as we returned to action for 2023, with all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled!

Borussia Teeth made it three wins on the spin this week as they were in impressive form against Misfits, running out 4-1 winners in a well competed game!  The Allies struggled to get into gear for 2023 and were shocked by Gylfi's Young Boys who edged them out by a single goal to inflict a first league defeat since August on the champions!  Sky Blue Army got their second win in three games since promotion, running out 2-1 winners over Dixy Pigeons.

In Division One, Extra Special Ones certainly lived up to their name this week as they romped to an 8-0 win over Who Ate Depays in an extra special performance in front of goal!  Wanyama's In Pyjamas joined them on maximum points so far, as they were 3-2 winners against Kroos Control in an entertaining game.  Other action saw Hardly Athletic get their second win in three games as they thrashed Globo Gym Purple Cobras 4-0, whilst Egg Fried Reus put in an equally impressive performance, running out 4-1 winners over Rainbow Sparkles.
