Nuneaton Sunday Football League Concludes with Thrilling Final Week of Matches

Nuneaton The Nuneaton Academy Sunday 6 a side League reached an exhilarating climax as teams battled it out in the final week of the season. The 6-a-side league, consisting of three divisions - Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2 - witnessed intense competition and some outstanding performances.

In the Premier League, Borussia Teeth clashed with Jack's Army in a close encounter, with Jack's Army emerging victorious with a 2-1 scoreline. Gylfis Young Boys fought valiantly against Misfits but fell short, succumbing to a narrow 3-2 defeat. Meanwhile, Extra Special Ones showcased their skills with a dominant display, defeating Tuffnells FC in an emphatic 6-0 victory.

Moving on to Division 1, Egg Fried Reus battled against Homo Sissoko but couldn't secure a win, losing 2-1. Dixy Pigeons, on the other hand, triumphed over Kroos Control FC, clinching a hard-fought 2-1 win. The BackStreet Moyes took control of their match against Rainbow Sparkles, emerging victorious with a 2-0 scoreline.

In Division 2, Globo Gym Purple Cobras and Kevos Kids showcased their defensive prowess in a goalless draw. Lad On Toure, however, left no room for doubt as they thrashed Schindlers Assist with an astonishing 8-0 win. Jubilee Juggernauts fought valiantly against Unipart United but ultimately succumbed to a 3-1 defeat. Lastly, Tekkerslovakia was narrowly defeated by Sky Blue Army in a closely contested match, with a final score of 1-0.

As the dust settled on the final week, the league crowned its champions for each division. In the Premier League, Team: THE ALLIES FC emerged victorious, finishing at the top of the table with an impressive 23 points and 11 wins. Division 1 witnessed Birdies Boys clinching the title with an impressive 26 points and 12 wins. Finally, Lad On Toure claimed the Division 2 championship, finishing with an impressive 28 points and 14 wins.

The Nuneaton Sunday Football League bids farewell to another thrilling season, filled with nail-biting moments and exceptional performances. The league management would like to extend their gratitude to all the teams, players, and supporters for their participation and dedication throughout the season.

We are delighted to confirm the addition of a FOURTH DIVISION for the new season, increasing the league capacity to 32 teams!  We welcome all new teams to the league, most of which have moved over from the Etone Sunday league which we have merged with this one to create a bumper league at Nuneaton Academy!
