Monday 20th March - Walsall Oak Park Round-Up

It was another fantastic evening's football in the Walsall Monday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled and some well competed games played throughout the night, the only exception being a late cancellation from Hong Kong Vesey who cancelled late on and return on Monday 27th March as normal.

Smoke FC's invincible season continues into week 7 as they mauled Stroke Titty 9-3 this week to keep up their perfect record so far, they have three more games to make it a 100% season.  Last Chance U moved back into second spot as they shared a point apiece with Undateables in an entertaining 4-4 draw, whilst Dennis' Disciples found their feet this week, putting a heavy defeat behind them last week and running out 3-1 winners against Shindu's Hairy Toe.

Euro Anchor's perfect Division One record came to a shuddering halt this week as they were humbled 4-1 by Langers, although promotion looks highly likely thanks to their record prior to that.  Shelfield Wednesday moved out of the drop zone owing to an impressive 8-3 win against Road to Relegation.

Division Two leaders Dijk In Dias have enough points in the bag to have almost guaranteed promotion this term, they had to settle for one point this week though as they drew 2-2 against Save Shane's Turtle, although they remain undefeated.  Second placed Inter Ya Nanny were beaten 9-3 against Dad Bod's to throw open the race for second place, whilst Vegas Degenerates moved to within a point of the team above them after an 8-2 win over strugglers Tea and Busquets who look doomed for relegation.

Beercelona have sewn up promotion from Division Three with three weeks to spare as their seventh win in a row was a 6-1 triumph over Six Offenders, one more point will confirm the title for the leaders.  Arbo FC moved up to second spot and above opponents Croft VI after running out 3-1 winners in the meeting of the two this week, whilst a 5-1 win for Balotellitubbies over Unathletico Madrid puts them in third.

We thank all teams for their continued reliability and commitment to the league and wish all good luck going into the next round of fixtures with Walsall's premier providers of small sided football.
