Monday 21st March - Walsall Oak Park Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Walsall Monday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled and some entertaining football played across all three divisions!

Leaders of the Premier Division The Warts keep their place at the top as they ran out 4-2 winners over RGP in a closely competed game.  The chasing pack keep up the pressure on the leaders, as Expected Toulouse romped to a 10-3 win over Corn Swingers, and third placed Four Crosses were also big winners, running out 10-4 victors over No Fuchs Given.  Budgie Neck moved up a place to fourth as they were 4-2 winners over Langers, and new boys Gunner Beat You had a tough start to the league, losing 13-0 to an unforgiving Edwards Allstars.

Division One leaders Psycho Dean's Australian Army were 3-1 winners over Last Chance U to extend their lead at the top to four points, as second placed Dijk In Dias were beaten 4-1 by Pique Blinders in a surprise result!  Balotellitubbies, in third place, missed the opportunity to close the gap on the promotion spots, as The Undateables in only their second game in the league, picked up an impressive 5-4 win, to follow up last weeks draw with the leaders.  Shelfield Wednesday stay in fifth spot, but were no match this week for Blakenallontour who won convincingly by an 8-1 scoreline.  Hong Kong Vesey staved off the drop zone as they won an entertaining game against Croft VI by 3 goals to 2.

In Division Two, Fat and Furious continue to show no mercy, as the leaders who average over 7 goals a game this term were 6-0 winners over Mike Shamoley.  Second placed Beercelona now sit three points clear of third place after they won 6-2 against Ball of Duty, whilst Vegas Degenerates lost ground on the promotion places, sharing the spoils with Class on Grass in a 1-1 draw, a result which allowed Exeter Gently to move ahead of them into third place following their 3-1 win over OK.  Tea and Busquets stay in mid-table fifth place after they edged past Ji Sung Chen by a 2-1 scoreline.
