Sunday 14th April - Walsall Round-Up

It was a fantastic evening's football in the Walsall Sunday 6 a side league this week with the season coming to an end in fantastic fashion with all teams in attendance for their matches.

Where else to start other than in the league decider, as Growler FC met Purple Helmets in a winner takes all clash.  Growler did exactly what was needed and put in a thoroughly professional performance, running out 2-0 winners to take the title on the slimmest of goal difference margins.

The Odegaardians of the Galaxy also had a notable performance, sweeping Sporting Stonnall 4-0 in a match that they had control of from start to finish.

However, the performance that caught everyone’s attention was between Pique Blinders and TenpinTuesdaysFC. In a staggering display of skill and strategy, the Pique Blinders overwhelmed their competitors with a 10-2 victory, marking one of the highest scoring games of the season.

We look forward to the season ahead as the top four teams were separated by just a solitary point in the end, and wish all teams good luck going into the first game of the new campaign.
