Thursday 20th April - Walsall Round-Up

Welcome to the round-up of the Walsall Thursday 6 a side league, held at Oak Park Active Living Centre on 20th April. The league ran smoothly as scheduled, with all teams present and ready to battle it out for the last time this season. Some cracking matches took place, and here are the results!

First up, we had a new team to the league, FATZIO FC, taking on the current champions, UNPROTECTED CESC. Despite being new to the league, FATZIO FC gave a good account of themselves against the formidable CESC, who secured a 5-0 victory. However, the new team should be proud of their performance, and gives them something to build on for the next season!

Next, BALL OF DUTY faced DUDE WHERES MY LADDERS, and it was a close match, with DUDE WHERES MY LADDERS clinching a 1-0 win.

TACCY RUMPAS FC showed their dominance in the third game of the night, defeating CRIPPLES ATHLETIC 6-0. A brilliant performance from TACCY RUMPAS FC, who will no doubt be a team to watch next season.

Lastly, SCHMEICHEL JACKSON went head-to-head with BRYAN MUNICH in a thrilling match, with BRYAN MUNICH emerging as winners with a 4-3 victory. Both teams put on a fantastic show, with the match being a closely contested one until the final whistle, well done to BRYAN though who came back from 3-1 down to take the points!

Overall, it was a fantastic evening of football, and we would like to thank all teams for their continued commitment and reliability throughout the season. We wish them all the best of luck as they head into the new season's fixtures with Walsall's premier providers of small-sided football.
