Another Competitive Evening at Telford 6-a-side Football

Play in the Telford Sunday football league powered by Leisure Leagues

The Telford Sunday 6-a-side football league marked a thrilling Week 5, as teams went head to head in a series of entertaining matches.

Rowdy FC proved their mettle against Albrighton CC, serving up a 4-1 defeat. The team showcased their offensive prowess and tactical accumen, with a performance that sets them apart as serious competitors this season. They were made to work hard by an organised Albrighton side who spurned a number of chances with Adam displaying an excellent range of passing from the back. For Rowdy, goals from top goalscorer Cal, Liam and Matteo made it 5 wins from 5  for the current champions with Ben C grabbing a consolation for Albrighton.

In a high energy game, AUFC overcame Tea And Busquets with a resounding 7 0 victory. The lion's share of the credit goes to striker, Kieran Marks. who netted an impressive hatrick, showcasing his technical skill and scoring ability. Busquets were highly competitive  thoughout but ultimately lacked the clinical edge to make the scoreline closer.

The action-packed week culminated with Brexit Beautys coming up short against The Colonels, with a final score of 0-4. The Colonels' dominance in this match was largely dictated by their star player, Samuel Darko. Darko’s exceptional performance during the week earned him man of the match with His deft footwork instrumental in securing the victory for The Colonels. Beauty's battled well throughout but were unable to finish their opportunities and faded a little in the second half.

As we look forward to Week 6, these exciting performances set up a tantalizing stage for the games ahead. Rowdy FC  currently lead the way at the top with Colonels and AUFC hanging on to their coattails. We welcome onboard new side "Into the Pub" next week as they look to make their mark on the league.
