Another Week of Spectacular Action at Telford 6-a-side

Play in the Telford Sunday football league powered by Leisure Leagues

The seventh week of the Telford Sunday 6-a-side football league did not disappoint last night as we witnessed yet more entertaining matches.

AUFC responded to last week's setback with a convincing 3-0 victory over Albrighton CC, Goalscorer Jonas Wölfl, displayed exceptional skill and leadership on the field, earning him the title of 'Most Valued Player' this week with further goals coming from Kieran Marks and Ben Raftery. Albrighton battled hard but could not keep AUFC at bay as they ran out comfortable winners.

In a tightly contested match, Hardly Learning FC edged out Tea And Busquets with a 2-1 scoreline. Despite the defeat, Tea And Busquets put up a commendable fight, giving their opponents a hard time throughout the game. Hardly struck first courtesy of a composed finish from Connor. Tea and Busquets rallied and equalised through a well-taken strike by Adam Salt.  The game looked to be heading for a draw with some fine goalkeeping from Tea and Busquets stopper Ikram keeping Hardly at bay. Bur Hardly were not to be denied as a rasping drive from Kim secured his side a deserved victory in the dying seconds.

Undoubtedly the match of the night was the high-scoring affair between Inter The Pub and The Colonels. The Colonels came out on top with an impressive scoreline of 6-3. Notably, The Colonels' Harry emerged as the top scorer in the Premier League division this week, with an impressive hatrick with goals from Samuel and Harvey adding gloss to the scoreline. Inter the Pub replied with goals from Lewis Spruce and a fine double from Daniel Robinson but ultimately they came up short.

In the evening's friendly match, champions Rowdy FC secured a hard fought victory over new side Polonia Telford. Goals From Cal and Jacko gave their side the win. Polonia hugely impressed on their debut, playing some great football but were unable to breach the solid Rowdy defence.

As competition intensifies, teams across the Premier League division are gearing up to deliver their best performances in the coming weeks. The stage is set for a thrilling continuation of the season, with players and fans eager to see how the league unfolds.
