More Great Competitive Action At Telford 6-a-side

Play in the Telford Sunday football league powered by Leisure Leagues

This week's Telford Sunday 6-a-side League matches were heavily contested across the Premier League division. The teams displayed an exciting blend of skills, tactics, and passion, resulting in some intense battles on the field.

Form side, Hardly Learning FC showed a masterclass in scoring, defeating Albrighton Cc with a 6 - 0 victory. Andy, the star striker for Hardly Learning FC, proved instrumental in the win, netting an impressive 3 goals and becoming the top scorer of the division for the week. An additional brace from the skillful Connor added to the scoreline. Albrighton as always battled hard but could not match their opponents goalscoring prowess on this occasion

Elsewhere, relegation threatened Inter The Pub dominated the field against Brexit Beautys, securing a 4-0 victory. The most valued player of the week, Daniel Robinson, played a crucial role in Inter The Pub's win, displaying exceptional skill and performance that fueled his team's triumph. Ben and Andrew grabbed the other goals.

In a closely contested match, 3rd placed AUFC met with 2nd placed "The Colonels" with the match ending in a 1-1 draw. Both sides fought tooth and nail for the victory, leaving us on the edge of our seats as many opportunities were spurned to add to the scoreline. Goals from Colonels Harry and AUFC's Rhys ensured the match ended all square.

In the final match of the evening Rowdy FC's saw off rejuvinated Tea And Busquets with a stellar performance, completely outclassing their opponents with a 7-1 victory. The match showcased the league leaders talent as Busquets were unable to match them despite a great goalkeeping display from Ikram "The Panther". Goals from Matteo, Lee, Reuben, Connal and a double from star striker Cal gave Rowdy a dominant win. Busquets will move on quickly having played much better in recent weeks.

In the evening's friendly match, Inter The Pub made it 2 victories from 2 as they defeated a trial team by 2 goals to 1. An absolute screamer from Andrew from inside his own half was the difference between the sides in an extremely competitive match.

This week's results left us eagerly awaiting the next round of fixtures as we enter the final 3 matches of the season. Rowdy FC have secured their second title early with a 7 point gap at the top meaning they can not be caught. The battle for 2nd, 3rd and 4th is hotting up with Colonels, AUFC and Hardly Learning all separated by a single point. The relegation battle is also on a knife edge with Inter The Pub, Albrighton CC, Tea and Busquets and Brexit Beaurys all in danger of dropping into the 2nd tier as we expand into 2 divisions next season.

With the competition heating up, we can expect some more thrilling matches in the upcoming weeks. In the Telford Sunday League's Premier League division, it's clear that every goal counts and every player's performance can make a significant difference. It remains to be seen what will happen as the season reaches its climax.
