In the epic third week of the Telford Sunday 6 a side Football League, the Premier League witnessed some exhilarating games under the floodlights at Oakengates.


In one of the most electrifying matches of the night, Bassetts All Sorts skillfully outpaced Tea And Busquets, netting a sensational 9 goals to a nill scoreline. Braces from Bruce, Pritchard and Diallo along with a hatrick from the superb Mares secured a dominant victory for the league leaders. Their commanding performance and third clean sheet in as many games has undoubtedly highlighted them as the team to beat as the season reaches its halfway stage.
Meanwhile, Rowdy FC showcased an impressive display in their 4 - 1 triumph over The Hot Water Bottlers. Despite their keeper turning up wearing sliders, standout performances from Ben and Rowdy FC's driving force, Callum Knowles secured their victory. Knowles' dynamic play earned him the title of the most valued player of the week, a deserved accolade for his substantial contribution to the team. The Rowdy boys have impressed in both their matches after joining the league late and will aim stake a claim to take top spot from Bassetts as the season goes on.


In the evening's final league match, Killy FC notched up a resounding victory with an assertive 6 - 2 win over Hardly Learning FC. in a strong all round performance from the Killy boys, Midfield playmaker Armando put in a virtuoso display securing him man of the match. Goals from Armando, OJ and Ben secured their victory over a Bottlers side who battled hard throughout. Striker Andy gave Killy plenty of problems with his physicality and skills in attack.

With just two weeks left to the season's finale, the competition is heating up. Teams are encouraged to secure their places for the next season as the league grows in popularity, promising more fierce competition and skilled match-ups. This week’s performance in the Premier League division clearly indicates that the remaining weeks will be a thrilling watch, filled with more footballing prowess and excitement.

A huge shout out to new side Colonels and their captain Samuel who took part in a highly entertaining friendly match with Killy FC as they wait to join our league for next season. They showcased plenty of talent and will be a welcome addition to next season's division.
