Play in the Telford Sunday football league powered by Leisure Leagues

In a thrilling start to the Telford Sunday Football League season, teams across all divisions locked horns last night, setting the tone for an exciting season ahead. We have one final space remaining in the league for next week, sign up now, the season has only just kicked off!

In the Premier League, the match between Tea And Busquets and Immi FC was a close contest, ending 2-1 in favour of Immi FC. However, the game that stole the spotlight was between Joga Bonito and Inter The Pub. Inter The Pub showed their intentions for the season with a decisive 7-1 victory, with Ben Wilkinson leading the charge by scoring two goals, claiming the title of top scorer in the Premier League for the week.

Over in Division 1, FAKE MADRID edged past league debutants Cage Lads 2-1 with a commendable performance from Taylor Finnegan, who found the back of the net twice, crowning him as the division's top scorer for the week. Another impressive match saw El Parado Bailo's slick performance against Avengers FC,  with a 4-0 victory. Puyol Pants down had an opening day 2-0 victory over Wonky Walkers whilst debutants Expected Toulouse beat TF Reds 2-0!

Division 2 opened the season with an intense match between Scrambled Legs and Athletic Dildao, with Scrambled Legs securing a 3-0 win. This division's highlight was Spachester United's convincing 7-2 victory over Bates Boys. Canaan Marsh from Spachester United made his mark by scoring three goals, making him the top scorer in Division 2. Ballbaggies opened their account this season with a hard fought 1-0 victory over Telford's Twit. Finally, Blood Sweat and Beers battled out a stalemate with Egg Poachers

It seems these opening games have set a high standard for the rest of the season. Following the first week's performances, it's clear that players and teams are hungry for success. As the season progresses, we look forward to seeing how these initial results shape the upcoming battles on the pitch.
