In a thrilling climax to the football season, the St Albans Wednesday league saw the final matches of the Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2, yesterday. The much-awaited final week  of the season didn't disappoint, as spectators witnessed high-octane performances and numerous goals.

At the Premier League, an exciting draw match entailed between Class On Grass and Portly Stale, with both teams ending the game 3 - 3. Largentina, however, overpowered TNF with a score of 5 - 2, while Two Nil To The Bane dominated Eggy Boiz FC with 5 - 1. When the final whistle blew, Pique Blinders emerged as the victors of the Premier League, accumulating an impressive 28 points from 14 wins.

Moving onto Division 1, the games were just as intense. Stringy Strikers lost to Snit United in a close match, 2 - 3. GSFC Old Boys and Team Judges also bagged wins against SSG and JOHN FC respectively. The Waitrose Wanderers managed to pull off a nail-biting victory against Expected Toulouse FC, with a final score of 7 - 6. Amidst all the action, JOHN FC clinched the Division 1 title with 23 points and 11 wins.

In the Division 2 league, Shoreys Glory outplayed Making Emile Of It with a score of 6 - 1. Not Isakly Sure and Titus Shambles also secured wins against Hardly Athletic FC and Fatzio respectively. Not Isakly Sure was crowned as the champions of Division 2 with a total of 25 points and 12 wins.

The final week of the season was a fitting end to the St Albans Wednesday league, capping off with commendable performances from the teams. The top scorers of each division truly showcased their talents, making this year's league one to remember. Congratulations to all the winners and participants!
