A brand new season got underway this Sunday at the Oasis Academy in Grimsby's 6-a-side league, with some great football on display. 

The action began as Tinpot United got off to a promising start with a 1-0 win over Benchwarmers FC. This was followed by the most convincing performance of the week. 

Last season's champions Peaky Ben Der got their title defence off to an incredible start, running riot against Club Tropicana Drinks FC, netting nine unanswered goals. A statement performance. 

FatNLazy FC also ran out convincing 3-0 winners against Leroys FC, while last season's runners-up held on to their 1-0 lead to claim the victory against Fill My Wycombe.
