A two week update from our St Neots 6 a side league

It has been a good two weeks of 6 a side football at One Leisure St Neots, with movements across both divisions in terms of places. With the introduction of the pre-game crossbar challenge, can all teams be reminded that your taker for each week needs to be sorted so that each game can be started with ease.

Premier Division

Tekkerslovakia top the table after game weeks 5 and 6, with help through a commanding win 5-1 win against DCDC FC in GW5, with goals from Dan Ellis, Rueben Snooks and a hattrick from Oli Swinscoe. Game week 6 showed another strong performance from Tekkerslovakia as they beat Aston Villagers 4-1 with two goals from Harry Dynes and one each from Dan Ellis and Oli Swinscoe.

A tough game week 5 for DCDC saw them fall short 5-1 against Tekkerslovakia with a single goal from Nathan, but a strong performance against SMD with a hattrick from Sully and one from Nathan in a 4-1 win sees them keep the pressure up on Tekkerslovakia.

After losing three in a row, a spirited performance from Dolce & Lallana saw them bag a point against SMD with two goals from Alfie Medlow and one from Ewan Smith in a 3-3 draw. In GW6, they put on another important performance against KRBodge with a goal each from Alfie Medlow and Patrick Nowinski in a 2-1 victory.

SMD managed to bag a point on the board in GW5 with two goals from Moomith Ullah and one from George Grant in a 3-3 draw with Dolce & Lallana, but they couldn't keep the SMD train on course in GW6 with a frustrating 4-1 loss against DCDC with a goal from X

A tough couple of weeks for Aston Villagers saw them fail to pick up points against KRBodge or Tekkerslovakia. A 3-1 loss against KRBodge and a 4-1 loss against Tekkerslovakia with a single goal from Alex Le Frenais means that Aston Villagers hover just below safety from relegation.

KRbodge had two indifferent weeks in GW5 and 6, with a resounding 3-1 victory against Aston Villagers with two goals from Aiden Howard and one from Jordan Cobb but a 2-1 loss to Dolce & Lallana means that they currently reside at the bottom of the table, three points from safety.

Division One

We start our news off with league leaders Law Abiding Sigurdssons. Sigurdssons were in seventh heaven in GW5 as they beat Grop United 7-1, with a hattrick from Evan Walker and one each from Ben Stokes, Louis Thornton and Oliver and Ben Wilson. Game Week 6 was not as easy for Sigurdssons as they faced their first defeat of the season 3-2 against Inter Yournan with goals from Ben Wilson and Henry Thornton.

Closely following in second place is Inter Yournan who got two good game weeks under their belt with a 3-0 win against New Boys FC courtesy of a hattrick from Jordon Holdaway and a 3-2 win against Law Abiding Sigurdssons with goals from Jack Hall, Ben Sainsbury and Keiran Preston.

With just 0 points separating the bottom four, New Boys FC head up third place with a loss to Inter Yournan in GW5 and a big victory against ATG No Idea 5-0 with goals from Jez Huggins and Evan Lincoln.

The Kiddos took on ATG No Idea in GW5 with the Kiddos picking up valuable points in a 4-2 win with a hattrick from Jenson Stone and one from Charlie White, but unfortunately dropping points in a 4-2 loss to Grop United in GW6 with goals from Jenson Stone and Charlie White.

Sitting in 5th place is Grop United who had a night to forget in GW5 against Sigurdssons with a single goal from Lewis Vaughan but put things right in GW6 with a 4-2 win to the Kiddos, with a hattrick from Luke Puleston and one from Rhys Stamford.

All the Gear No Idea FC have regrettably lived up to their name in recent weeks, with a 4-2 loss to the Kiddos with goals from Bogdan Stolojan and Peter Bogdan, but could not get on the scoresheet in a 5-0 loss to New Boys the following week.
