Double weekly update from St Neots 6 a side

It was great to see all teams in attendance this week and with two teams on the waiting list, Leisure Leagues 6 a side in St Neots is proving to be the place to be! Despite these positives, it was very disappointing to hear of dissent shown towards an official in one of the fixtures in Game Week 5. This team is on a final warning and will be removed from the league if this happens again, teams please ensure that you can control your players.

Premier Division

DCDC took on Law Abiding Sigurdssons in Game Week 5, with a resounding 6-0 win with 4 goals from Nathan and one each for Clarkey and Adam Henner. They faced a tougher challenge in GW6 against SMD and potentially for the neutral was the best 0-0 you will see, great effort from both teams.

The Bodge faced off against Dolce & Lallana in GW5 and it was a week to forget as they went down 3-2 against Dolce & Lallana with goals for Bodge from Jordan Cobb and Kurt Hassell. They found more success in GW6 against Tekkerslovakia coming off 3-2 winners with goals from Aiden Howard, Jordan Cobb and Kurt Hassell.

Dolce picked up two important points against The Bodge in a 3-2 win with goals from Alfie, Ewan Andrews and Junior Heath. Game Week 6 brought about a tough fixture against Newer Boys. Dolce found themselves 2 nil down, but a goal each from Ben M and Junior Heath rescued a point for Dolce & Lallana in a 2-2 draw.

SMD found themselves struggling in GW5 against a struggling Tekkerslovakia side and it was a singular goal from Rob Millward that could not make the difference as Tekkerslovakia ran out 2-1 winners. In GW6 SMD found themselves against top of the table DCDC and it was a fantastic game that ended 0-0.

Aston Villagers took on Newer Boys in GW5 and it was the Villagers who took the points in a 3-2 win with goals from Gareth Evans, Lawrence and Ashley Priddey. Another fantastic victory for the Villagers in GW6 against Law Abiding Sigurdssons with a goal from Ashley Priddey and a shanky shinny goal from Nelson Lourenco to secure the win 2-0.

A strong win in GW5 for Tekkerslovakia 2-1 against SMD with goals from Dan Ellis and Oli Swinscoe was followed by a below par performance for last season's champions in a 3-2 loss to The Bodge with goals from Rueben Snooks and Kyle.

Newer Boys found themselves on the wrong side of 3-2 loss to Aston Villagers in GW5 with goals from Jake Powell and Jez Huggins. Dropping a lead in GW6 was not in the plans for Newer Boys who had a 2 goal lead through Raph and Josh Kidd before Dolce brought it back to 2-2.

Not a great two weeks for Law Abiding Sigurdssons as they found themselves on the end of a 6-0 thrashing to DCDC. In GW6 they fared better, with the help of their goalkeeper to keep the score to just 2-0 for Aston Villagers.

Division One

A strong two weeks for Double Pogba & Koke with a 2-0 win against Hammertime with goals from Harry Atkins and K. Pearsall. There was another two points on the board after beating Grop United 3-2 with goals from Jordon Holdaway, Josh Manton and Olly Woodward.

2 Girls 1 Schlupp putting their name on the map with an 8-0 victory against Grop United with 4 goals from Alix Girdlestone, two from Don Dixon and one each from Alex Ware and Ben Patterson. A tougher fixture for them in GW6 saw them take the points in a 2-1 win against New Boys with goals from Alix Girdlestone and Don Dixon.

Inter Yournan found themselves in the points in GW5 with a close battle against ATG No Idea with a close 1-0 victory. Another close fixture in GW6 against The Kiddos was edged by the quality of Jack Hall who scored a hattrick to take the win for Inter Yournan 3-2.

Hammertime found themselves against a very strong Double Pogba & Koke side in GW5 going down 2-0, but got themselves back in the points with a 4-0 win against ATG No Idea despite hitting the post 5 times, the goals coming from Ricky Taylor, Russell Davies, Chris Bingham and Ian Mcvicar.

New boys took on The Kiddos in GW5 with a fantastic performance in a 4-1 victory with goals coming from Raph Borinuoluwa, Evan Lincoln and Jake Powell. A tough game for them in GW6 against title chasers 2 Girls 1 Schlupp meant that they failed to take any points from the fixture with their singular goal coming from Jez Huggins in a 2-1 loss.

A tough two weeks for ATG No Idea with a 1-0 loss against Inter Yournan in GW5 which did not get any better in GW6 with a 4-0 loss to Hammertime FC which means they find themselves just outside the bottom two.

Similar to ATG, The Kiddos found themselves with two losses from two, with a 4-1 loss to New Boys with the Kiddos goal coming from Charlie White. A close fought 3-2 loss in GW6 against Inter Yournan saw their two goals scored by Jenson Stone and Toby Birkett.

A very tough GW5 for Grop United against 2 Girls 1 Schlupp found themselves on the wrong side of a 8-0 drubbing. A much better GW6 saw them nearly take points off Double Pogba & Koke in a 3-2 loss with their goals coming from Ryley Pook and Ryan Barnett.
