Monday night football is back!

After a two week enforced break due to venue closures for the bank holiday, it was great to see a good atmosphere amongst the returning players!

Premier Division

The Wizards of Ozil took on Tekkerslovakia in our first game of the night which was dampened by the injury to Ozil captain Jake Powell and we wish him a speedy recovery! He did manage to get on the scoresheet alongside two goals for Alex Button, but Tekkerslovakia saw off the danger with one goal from captain Zach Wilson, one each for Tom Spavins and Oli Swinscoe and two for Harry Dynes in a 5-3 win for Tekkerslovakia.

Double Pogba and Koke against The Bodge was our second fixture of the night. A cool performance by The Bodge saw them take the win with two goals from Aiden and one for Curtis Hassall, a goal in reply from Bailey for Double Pogba was not enough as The Bodge ran out 3-1 victors.

It was SMD versus 2 Girls 1 Schlupp for our third game and with some good football being played by 2 Girls 1 Schlupp, they found success through Alex Ware(1), Pat(1) and Alix Girdlestone(2) in a 4-0 win.

Emile Sniff-snow faced their toughest battle of the season yet against last season's winners DCDC. Captain Sully running riot with a hattrick and one own goal saw DCDC crush Emile Sniff-snow dreams this week in a 4-0 win for DCDC.

Division One

Inter Yournan took on New Boys in our only draw of the evening. Two goals apiece for Josh Osbourne and captain Tom Townsend saw both teams walk away with a point as it finished 2-2.

Former Premier Division teams Law Abiding Sigurdssons and Aston Villagers faced off in our second game of the night in Division One. Aston Villagers found success through newly recruited Matt Bairstow, but an onslaught of goals from Sigurdssons through Ben Wilson(1), James Geary(1), Louis Thornton(1), Tom(2) and Evan Walker(1) saw them take the win 6-1.

Hammertime were due to face off against The Kiddos in our third game of the night, but with just two players in attendance, Villagers help fill the fixture in a points match win for The Kiddos.

A tight last game saw Grop United take the victory against ATG No Idea 2-1 with a goal from Ryley Pook and Ryan Barnett as Joe Minar got one back for ATG No Idea.
