Weekly football is back at St Neots 6 a side

Once against Leisure Leagues was back for more 6 a side football at One Leisure St Neots!

It was disappointing to hear of two fines for dissent towards the referees in the games this week, can all teams be reminded that the officials are there to officiate the games and without them, there would be no 6 a side.

Premier Division

SMD kicked us off in the Premier Division last night with a contested game near the bottom of the table between newly promoted Law Abiding Sigurdssons. Three goals for SMD through Moomith Ullah, Rob Millward and George Grant was enough to see off the Sigurdssons who got one in reply from Louis Thornton in a 3-1 win for SMD.

Our second fixture of the night was between last season's title contenders DCDC FC and Dolce & Lallana. One goal each for Jack Tattersall and Max Courtney for Dolce & Lallana was seen off by DCDC with two goals for Sully and one each for Nathan, James Thomas and Clarkey in a 5-2 victory for DCDC FC.

Our third game of the night was last season's champions Tekkerslovakia reeling off the back of a defeat in the first week, against Aston Villagers. Two goals for the villagers could not stop the Tekkerslovakia steam train with a hattrick from Harry Dynes, one from Oli Swinscoe and a belter you would have seen from the likes of Gerrard himself from captain Zach Wilson in a 5-2 win.

Our last game of the night was a points match between KRBodge and Madeline Milan. ATG No Idea FC stepped in for us in this fixture and with this result carrying KRBodge up the table, it is now on for other teams to catch them up.

Division One

New Boys started off the new year strong with four goals against Grop United who could only muster two. One a piece for Jez Huggins and Evan Lincoln and two for Raph saw New Boys take the points as Ryley Pook and Rhys Sandford who could only manage one each.

Double Pogba and Koke continued their strong run of form from the last game with a performance which dismantled The Kiddos. A singular goal from Jenson Stone for the Kiddos was not enough as Double Pogba and Koke saw goals from Harry Atkins, Olly Woodward, Daniel Statham, Jordon Holdaway and Josh Manton (who also received a yellow card) in a 8-1 win.

A tough night for ATG No Idea FC who came up against a 2 Girls 1 Schlupp team wanting to hold top spot going into game week 3. A ten goal thumping for ATG No Idea was not the way they wanted to start game week 2 with goals for 2 Girls 1 Schlupp from Don Dixon x2, Alex Ware x2, Jamie Gilbert x1 and Alix Girdlestone x5.

Our last game of the night in Division One was a points match fixture between Inter Yournan and Hammertime FC. Tekkerslovakia filled in for the fixture in a well contested friendly between the two sides, only marred by a yellow card for Reece Sales.
