Play in the Oswestry Wednesday football league powered by Leisure Leagues

The much-anticipated Oswestry Monday 6-a-side football league season kicked off last night with a series of thrilling matches that set the tone for the weeks ahead. It was a night which also saw last season's champions crowned, a huge congratulations to Balotellitubbies and MK Dongs

In the Premier League division, three matches were held marking the beginning of the season. FC Bont triumphed over Azzy Boys with a score of 5-2, demonstrating their fierce attacking form right from the outset. In a closely contested battle, Net Six And Chill managed to edge out Inter Ya Nan 4-3, showcasing both teams' relentless pursuit of victory. The Balotellitubbies also started their campaign on a high note, defeating Jones Brothers FC 4-2.

Moving to Division 1, the new season began with a fiercely fought match between Ball Of Duty and Monners OT that ended in a goalless draw. Despite the lack of goals, both teams showed promise with their strong defensive lineups and strategic play.

Although it's still too early to determine the standout teams, the leading goal scorers have already begun to emerge. In the Premier League, FC Bont's star striker stood out with his impressive hat-trick, while in Division 1, the defenses held strong, making it tough to single out a top scorer.

As the season has just started, these early results set the stage for an exciting journey ahead for all teams involved.
