WOLVERHAMPTON MONDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 19TH JUNE 23

All the latest news for the Wolverhampton Monday 6-a-side League is direct from Our Lady & St Chad Sport's Academy.

The Wolverhampton Monday 6-a-side football league was full of great action this week as all teams tried their hardest for the wins on the night and a NEW DIVISION got underway. 

Unfortunately we did have two non-attendances on the night as 'ECC United' and 'Straight Outta Compton' were not present for there fixtures on the night, both teams have confirmed there return to the league next week. It is paramount all teams are present each and every week in order for the league to run as smoothly as possible each week, if there are any problems be sure to contact your Area Manager in plenty of time in order to help in necessary.

In more positive news, with this NEW DIVISION came through new teams in the form of 'Pendeford Athletic FC', Young Boysz AFC' and 'Naija Football Club', all put in great performances for their first games at the league and we wish them all the best of luck moving forward!

The Premier League division saw some exciting matches as 'Filey' clashed with 'Bostin Bilston', with the latter coming out on top with a 6-2 win. Meanwhile, 'Sean Dyche Brexit Ball FC' managed to narrowly defeat Dangerous Darren 1-0 in a game which either side could have won. While 'Saka Potatoes' were unable to stop unbeaten 'FC Mil Funters', who won     3-0. With the top two teams in the league yet to lose this could be an interesting match up going into the rest of the season.

In Division 1, 'Wolves Nations FC' were narrowly defeated 2-0 by 'Pendeford Unathletic FC'. 'TT Elite' and 'Boca Seniors FC' provided a thrilling encounter, with the match ending in a 2-2 draw.

Over in Division 2, The Way claimed a convincing 4-1 win over 'KFC W1mbledon', while 'Inter Row Z' emerged victorious over 'Bushbury Hill FC' with a 3-1 win. 'Murder On Zidanes Floor' completed the three victors beating 'FC Springhill' on a the night.

Finally, Division 3 saw 'Pendeford Athletic FC' earn an impressive 5-0 win to start the new division', while 'AFC Young Boysz' were unable to overcome 'Naija Football Club', who clinched a 2-1 win in an end-to-end game of football.

'Pendeford Unathletic FC' are our team of the week after a great performance against 'Wolves Nations FC' on the night. Now they are top of Division One can they keep this going into the second half of the season?
