In the most recent adrenaline-pumping week of the Wolverhampton Monday 6-a-side football league, we saw some thrilling performances as we hit the 17th week of the season. The Premier League, the division to watch, saw some high-scoring games and remarkable football showdowns that left spectators on the edge of their seats.

We did have a non-attendance on the night, Bound 2 Be Bottom FC were not present for their game and we will be in contact with them this week in order to confirm their return for next Monday. It is paramount all teams are present for their fixtures in order for the league to run as smoothly as possible each week, if there are any problems please be sure to contact your area manager in plenty of time.

In the Premier League, there was an intense battle between In The Area and Potters House Church. In The Area edged out their competition in a closely contested match, ending with a 2-1 victory. Despite the heated competition and relentless efforts from Potters House Church, In The Area showcased their resilience and managed to come out on top.

One of the most exciting games of the night was a heart-stopping draw between Sporting Lispenn and Net 6 N Chill. Both teams played with fierce determination, resulting in a 3-3 stalemate. These evenly matched teams demonstrated the true spirit of football, leaving the spectators eagerly waiting for their next face-off.

This thrilling week of football has significantly shuffled the Premier League standing, making the forthcoming weeks all the more significant. The teams will now be preparing for the next round of matches, carrying with them the lessons from this week's encounters. As we move closer to the end of the season, the competition is heating up, and we look forward to more captivating matches in the weeks to come.

The league is now OFF for Easter Monday this week and will return Monday 13th April 2026. We wish all players, officials and there families a wonderful Easter and see you all when we return.
