SOUTHAMPTON - The 7th week of the Southampton Thursday Football League saw fierce competition across all divisions, with several stand-out performances and surprising outcomes.
In the Division 1 face-offs, Lallana Rhodes narrowly secured a victory over 50 Shades Of John 'O' Shea with a final score of 2-1. The high-energy match between Mutual Friends and Hello You Kante ended with a decisive 4-1 win for Mutual Friends. However, the most compelling game of the evening was undoubtedly Nottingham Florist against UNION 6's, resulting in a 3-0 clean sweep for the UNION 6's.
Division 2 was equally exhilarating. Crouch Potatos fell short against Chartwell Green - Two Brothers FC with a close scoreline of 2-3. The highlight of the division was undoubtedly FC Bumfica's dramatic 3-2 victory over COLONEL GETAFE, with FC Bumfica's Jack Farrington being named as the most valued player of the week. Tekkerslovakia, meanwhile, dominated the pitch against SPORTING VIEW B, ending with an impressive 6-0 win.
The Division 3 matches were equally engaging. Ji-Sung Park The Bus managed a solid 2-0 win over Chetan Ruparell, and No Your Limits edged out Fat-Letico Madrid 2-1 in a highly contested match. The division concluded with Scum FC losing 0-2 against Who Wet The Bednarek.
This week's games have left spectators and players eager for the next round of matches. As we move into the 8th week, all eyes will be on Division 2's standout player, Jack Farrington. His impressive performance for FC Bumfica has set a high bar for the remaining weeks of the season.
