The much-anticipated Eastbourne Monday 7-a-side Football league kicked off this week under the lights with teams in the Premier League division showcasing their skills on the pitch. The excitement was palpable as the season got underway, with teams putting on a spectacular show for spectators.

In the Premier League division, Barely Athletic made a strong statement in their opening fixture, overpowering TFID United with a striking 10-1 victory. The star of the match was undeniably Tom Larby, who singlehandedly netted 6 goals for Barely Athletic, setting the bar high for the rest of the season, and emerging as the top scorer in the Premier League division.

Another thrilling match of the night saw Chuffer Squad squeak out a narrow 1-0 victory over Shamunited. Despite a spirited performance by the latter, Chuffer Squad managed to hold onto their lead, signaling their intent for the season.
