New Newbury Monday 6 a side season kicks off!

Newbury Monday kicked off its football season with a thrilling first week of matches across the Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2. As expected, the competition was fierce and delivered a few surprises.

PREMIER LEAGUE

Starting with the Premier League, Game Set And Snatch showed their dominance with a solid 2-0 victory over Unathletico Madrid, setting a high standard for the rest of the season. The newcomers to the division  impressed with their performance, assuring football enthusiasts that this season will be a thrilling one.

DIVISION ONE

In Division 1, the highlight of the evening was undoubtedly POTG FC, who made a memorable statement with a resounding 7-1 win over Borussia Teeth. Their powerful offence was in full display, asserting their position as the team to beat in the bracket. The Six Offenders also made their mark by shutting out The New Era with a 5-0 victory. Another closely watched match in this division was between Dads Army and CK Dons, with Dads Army edging out a 3-2 win.

DIVISION TWO

Meanwhile, in Division 2, Renford Rejects were the talk of the night, defeating Gory Moory FC 6-0 in a spectacular display of teamwork. Kiss My Pass and The Bootcamp also secured their first wins of the season, defeating Dans Victims and KA1 3BU 3-0 and 1-0 respectively.

As the season has just started, it will be fascinating to see how the teams continue to shape up in the coming weeks. We can look forward to more thrilling action each week as the teams battle it out for the top spot in their respective divisions.
