Newbury Monday 6 a side end of season!

The Newbury Monday 6-a-side Football league reached an adrenaline-filled conclusion last night, marking the end of the season with week 10's breath-taking matches across the Premier League, Division 1 and Division 2.

PREMIER LEAGUE

Starting off with the Premier League, Team Fun claimed the crown after an exhilarating season, accumulating a total of 16 points and 7 wins. Their final victory came with a commanding score of 7-3 against Goal Diggers. Philippines FC impressed on the night with a 9-3 win over Class On Grass while runners up F-Town played out a thriller 5-5 draw against Unathletico Madrid.

DIVISION ONE

On to Division 1, where Cuckarella emerged as champions, boasting 18 points and 8 wins. The final match of the season saw a draw between Cuckarella and GHS Giants who just miss out on promotion. Damo Bulak from Borussia Teeth carved his name as the top scorer with a total of 2 goals, contributing significantly to his team's 3-1 victory over Largentina which sealed promotion to the top flight for Teeth. The other game saw Dad's Army pick up a solid 2-0 win at The Bootcamp.

DIVISION TWO

Over in Division 2, Game Set And Snatch crowned as winners with 6 points and 3 wins over this mini season. Their triumph was marked with an emphatic 7-0 win over Uhh I Dunno in the final match. Paulo De Matos from POTG FC grabbed the top scorer's accolade with 2 goals in his team's draw against CK Dons as their game ended 3-3.

A special mention goes to Dylan Cowley of Cuckarella who picked up the player of the season award on top of the Div 1 Golden Boot. The Premier League Golden Boot was won by George Mackie of F-Town.

As the season concluded, each division had its set of champions, highlighting the skill, determination and teamwork that are the hallmarks of this league. We look forward to the next season and more such thrilling matches.

A massive thank you to Steve for running the night since we started back in January. His efforts on the night have made the league run smoothly and a great league to be part of. Also thank you to all our referee's Chris, Kai, Tony, Sammy and Mark who have done an excellent job this season. Finally a big thank you to all our captains for sorting your teams each week, attendance has been excellent this season.
