Newbury Monday 6 a side - NEW SEASON UNDERWAY

The Newbury Monday 6-A-Side Football league season kicked off last night, seeing a flurry of goals, stunning saves, and brilliant individual performances as teams across three divisions hit the ground running for the new season.

In the Premier League division, Unathletico Madrid started their campaign strongly, scoring a 2-0 win over Borussia Teeth, while Team Fun clinched a 1-0 victory against Cuckarella. The Premier League's top scorer, Callum Foad of Unathletico Madrid, was on target, opening his season's account with a goal.

Moving to Division 1, the matches were closely contested, with The Bootcamp narrowly losing 3-4 to CK Dons in a thrilling 7-goal encounter. Meanwhile, Class On Grass edged past the Goal Diggers 2-1, and Game Set And Snatch dominated the pitch with a resounding 9-0 victory over Ghs Giants. Ben Sibley of Game Set and Snatch emerged as the highest goal-scorer, netting four goals for his team.

In Division 2, Uhh I Dunno and Dads Army battled to a goalless draw, while Renford Rejects secured a 2-0 win over Gory Moory FC. POTG FC displayed exceptional form, putting six past Largentina in a 6-1 victory. POTG FC's Leon Davies was the top scorer in this division.

The week's most valued player, however, was Stuart Tanner from CK Dons. His impressive performance played a crucial role in his team's victory, making him a standout player in the opening week of the season.
