Newbury Monday 6 a side news - match day 3

In an exhilarating third week of the Newbury Monday 6-a-side Football league, we were treated to a slew of high-scoring games and sterling individual performances across all divisions: Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2.

PREMIER LEAGUE  

In the Premier League, Team Fun put on an offensive masterclass, routing Borussia Teeth 9-3 to go top, however David Stafford stood out despite the defeat for Teeth. Stafford managed to net two goals, making him the top scorer in the Premier League division this week. Cuckarella also managed to seal a solid 2-0 win over F-Town.

DIVISION ONE

Meanwhile, in Division 1, the Goal Diggers managed to scrape past the formidable CK Dons with a slim 1-0 victory. Jacob Loader grabbed the only goal of the match and subsequently the top scorer's spot for the week in Division 1. In another match, Game Set And Snatch displayed their dominance over Class On Grass, triumphing with a convincing 4-0 scoreline.

DIVISION TWO

The excitement was equally palpable in Division 2. Renford Rejects faced a tough defeat against Dads Army, who secured a 3-0 victory. However, the star of the division and indeed, the entire league, was William Nutley of Largentina. Nutley’s outstanding performance, which included netting two goals against Gory Moory FC in their 2-0 victory, earned him the title of the week's Most Valued Player.

As the season progresses, the competition is expected to toughen with all teams vying for glory. These results have set the scene for an interesting next week, promising more thrilling encounters and remarkable individual performances. It's clear that the Newbury Monday Football League is a must-watch for all football enthusiasts.
