New Newbury Wednesday 6 a side season kicks off!

The Newbury Wednesday 6-a-side Football League kicked off its first week with a series of high-intensity matches which did not disappoint. The Premier League showcased the footballing prowess of several teams, offering both players and spectators a thrilling start to the season.

PREMIER LEAGUE

In the Premier League's standout match, Bowen 747 displayed their offensive firepower with a commanding 13-3 victory over Xavi Dodgers. It was a clear demonstration of their intent for the season, with a spectacular display of teamwork and individual brilliance, marking them out early as the team to beat.

Meanwhile, VELO VIPERS FC secured a narrow 1-0 triumph against Man Markers FC. In a match that had us on edge, VELO VIPERS FC's solitary goal proved enough to earn them the much-coveted points and a good start to the season.

In other matches, Hugh Janus FC prevailed over Six On The Beach with a respectable 4-2 win, while Retail Warriors made their mark with a 7-2 win over Prawn Crackers.

While it's still early days in the season, Bowen 747's dominant performance makes them the top scorers in the Premier League. However, with many games still to be played, other teams will have ample opportunities to catch up. The Premier League promises to be a captivating spectacle over the coming weeks and we can look forward to more thrilling football as the season progresses.
