In a thrilling week 6 of the Newbury Wednesday 6-a-side football league, the Premier League Division teams were in full swing, demonstrating their zest and passion on the field. The week was filled with intense competition and impressive teamwork.
PREMIER LEAGUE
The match between Bowen 747 and Hugh Janus FC was a spectacle, with Bowen 747 emerging victorious with a score of 7-4. Hugh Janus FC, despite their best efforts, couldn't keep up with the pace and skill of Bowen 747, who continues to dominate.
Man Markers FC also showcased a remarkable performance against Two Goals One Cup, securing a 2-0 victory. Their solid defence and consistent attack ensured they sealed this crucial victory, keeping their hopes alive in the league.
The face-off between Xavi Dodgers and Retail Warriors ended in a 5-3 victory in favour of the Retail Warriors. The match was a rollercoaster ride with both teams showing immense strategic play but the Retail Warriors were superior on the day.
Undoubtedly, one of the most thrilling matches of the week was between VELO VIPERS FC and Prawn Crackers. The match ended in a narrow 5-3 victory for the Prawn Crackers, proving their mettle in this high-tension showdown.
Finally, in a tightly contested match, Six On The Beach drew 1-1 with Squirting Glisbon. Both teams were equal on the pitch, causing a tense and nail-biting experience for all.
That brings us to the end of the sixth week of the Newbury Wednesday 6-a-side football league. With more exciting matches on the horizon, we await the next week with anticipation as the battle for the top spot in the Premier League Division continues.
