WEEK 12 - MATCH NIGHT REVIEW 10.07.18

PREMIER DIVISION ROUND-UP

Lots of beatings this week in the Prem as 4 of the 5 games ended at least 4-0!!

League leaders REVO are chasing their first ever Premier Division title since joining the league in 2013!! Is it finally coming home for the boys in purple? This week they continued to impress in a 4-0 win over AC SILHOUETTO who competed well but were largely outplayed (MVP: Justin Barnard)

Second place FC ROMANIA also won by the same scoreline against LEAVE MY ARSELONA who are in a real relegation dogfight now but they have shown already that they do belong at this level (MVP: Adrian Dobrica)

The other team in title contention are UN ATHLETICO MADRID who were in unforgiving mood against the division's bottom side THE SHED FC running out 6-0 winners to keep themselves firmly in the title picture....it's going down to the wire this season!! (MVP: Shackers)

Elsewhere KERNOW PISTOLS secured a 4-0 win of their own against CAMBORNE ELITES with a typically free-flowing attacking display (MVP: Ben Allen) and WIZARD OF OZIL were involved in an absolute belter of a 0-0 draw with PARKLANDS!! (MVP: James Moon)

DIV ONE ROUND-UP

Bit of a stinker to start the night off as CRYSTAL PHALLUS and FC LADZIO toiled in the heat in a 0-0 draw with neither side really threatening to break the deadlock (MVP: Harry Mankee)

AJAX TREES DOWN were unable to field a side this week so GIRTHERTS stepped in to play second place RONALDOUGHNUTS who are awarded a 5-0 Points Match victory. The friendly match itself finished 3-0 to RDN with all-time record Cornwall Combination league goal scorer Dom Pullen netting a hat-trick and the MVP award!! AJAX will be back next week.

Next up another friendly between GIRTHERTS and a select VI due to the absence of CRITERION CLUB who were on a scouting mission to Portugal! Another decent game and despite losing 3-0 again GIRTHERTS deserved more; a dipping swirling effort from MVP Mark Mitchell was the highlight. CRITERION are also back next week.

League leaders RAYLEIGH BOYS were cruising at 2-0 and looking comfortable against 6 GUYS 1 BALL but a late goal made for a nervy finish....they hung on for the 2-1 win to keep them 1 point clear at the top! (MVP: Matt Field - NO PLAYER CARD!!!)

Last up was the best game of the night as KP V2 came back from 2-0 down to rescue a late point against SIBILANCE UNITED in a real end-to-end tussle (MVP: Callum Richards)
