MK Bongs beat champions at Portchester Thursday 6 a side

There were some amazingly close matches across both divisions at our Portchester Thursday 6 a side league last night with only one match ending in more than a two goal win and that one was only by three goals.

There was a shock at the top of the Premier League as MK Bongs beat the defending champions Sergio Gameos Lee 4-2. Reece banging a hat-trick to add to a goal from Rueben. Alan and Sam scored in reply for Sergio. The win takes Bongs into second just a point behind Sergio who will be looking to bounce back like Champions do next week. HMS St Albans will be kicking themselves as they missed the chance to go top going down 4-2 to Stroke Titty as Sam Jones, Byron Brooks and Reuben 2 scored. Chris Rhodes with a brace for HMS. Happy Sunflowers picked up a 3-2 victory against Wanyama's with Brad Matthews, Tom Hampton and captain Ryan Matthews scoring for Sunflowers while TJ and Sam found the back of the net for Wanyama's. The other match saw a share of the points as Sigurdssons and Who8AllThePie drew 3-3. The three J's Josh, Jake and Jordan wrote their names on the scoresheet for Sigurdssons while Dan scored for Pie.

The top four teams in Div 1 all won but it was far from straight forward as the bottom four pushed them hard and can consider themselves unlucky not to take anything from the games. Top of the table on goal difference are Lads On Toure who defeated Foxes Forest 4-1. George Green hit a brace plus goals from Lewis and Alfie for Toure while Steve Goodwin returned to the scoreboard with a goal for Foxes. Havan't Got A Kalou bounced back from their first loss of the season last week to win 3-2 against Jimmy Floyd Bottle Bank. Captain Robbie Stilwell lead by example with a goal while teammates Joe and Harry also netted. Ben Milford and Sam with goals for Jimmy Floyd. Pants are just a point behind the top two as they sealed a solid 2-0 win over Fenerbackache with James Hawkins and Neil Wood scoring. Finally Weight Watchers and Chicken TikkaTaka served up a cracker as Watchers edged a 4-3 win to remain in fourth. Weight Watchers goals coming from Josh Parry 3 and Dave while TikkaTaka scored through Lewis Lofting, Del and Jones.

Thank you to all our teams, great to see a full turn out at the height of summer. Thank you to Dave for running the night and Al and Con for reffing. See you all next week, enjoy the bank holiday weekend. Cheers Rich
