In the Opening week of the Portchester Thursday 6-a-side Football league, local teams battled it out on the pitch with some groundbreaking results in the Premier League and Division 1.

PREMIER LEAGUE
In the Premier League, the AFC Purbrook devoured The Six Offenders with a devastating scoreline of 5-1, laying down the gauntlet for the rest of the season. In the same division, Sergio Gameos Lee delivered a masterclass in football with a 9-0 thrashing against Borussia Donmund. Their top scorer, Charlie Steele, launched into the season, netting an impressive total of 4 goals. The contest between Fourintina and Cathys Crew resulted in a narrow victory for Cathys Crew with a final score of 3-2.

DIVISION ONE
Meanwhile, in Division 1, there was an equally exciting display of football. Toast FC and Brexit Ballers 2 produced a thrilling game, with Toast FC emerging victorious, scoring 8 goals to Brexit Ballers 6. Cob FC managed to edge past Receding And Conceding with a 2-1 victory, while Inter Yernan FC crushed Pants 6-1.
