The exceptional sporting spectacle that is the Portchester Thursday 6-a-side Football League continued with gusto last night, with teams across three divisions vying for supremacy in the season's eighth week.
PREMIER LEAGUE
In the Premier League, AFC Purbrook stunned spectators with a decisive 7-0 rout against Shant On FC, demonstrating their dominance on the field. The Six Offenders were unable to withstand their tough competition, Sergio Gameos Lee, losing 9-6 in a high scoring encounter. Meanwhile, AFC Pynept secured a 3-1 triumph over Fourintina, further tightening the competition for the top spot. The highlight of the night was undoubtedly the dazzling performance of Lewis Shann from Sergio Gameos Lee, who topped the division charts with four goals.
DIVISION ONE
The first division too witnessed a flurry of goals, with Borussia Donmund outplaying Cob FC in a 9-2 victory and Marlon Packet overcoming Cathy's Crew 5-2. In an exciting clash, Brexit Ballers 2 emerged victorious against Bumfica, with a scoreline of 6-4. Frankie McMullen of Bumfica, despite his team's loss, proved his mettle by netting four goals to become Division 1's top scorer.
DIVISION TWO
In the second division, BSC Hung Boys blanked Pants 5-0, while Receding and Conceding squeaked past Maradonakebab 2-1. Rob Bass from BSC Hung Boys was the standout performer in this division, scoring twice to top the division's scoring chart.
