Portchester Thursday 6 a side returns

It was amazing to see the league back on last night at Portchester Thursday 6 a side and the night went well overall however it was a somewhat mixed night due to a couple of teams letting the league down. Wanyama's pulled out at very late notice but have apologised and will be returning next week while Zanetti failed to appear or contact us. We will try to contact them today to confirm if they will be return next week.

Please remember captains it's not just that the league that have to pay the refs and venue regardless, the biggest disappointment is for your opponents who have travelled there and are left without a match, we will always try to organise something for them but when it's late notice and then a no show on the first kick off it's impossible. Once again apologises to HMS St Albans and Stroke Titty. If we had known about Zanetti you could of actually played each other making it even more frustrating. Your online payments will be rolled over and cover next weeks match fee.

Anyway thank you to the other 14 teams who made the return a fantastic night. In the Premier League Sergio Gameos Lee looked to continue their dominance of the Thursday night league post lockdown as they started back with a 13-3 win over Roach On Toast. Viking FC will push them again this season and they also picked up a win against AFC Baldy 6-1. Stroke Titty had a 5-0 points match win while Happy Sunflowers defeated Chicken Tikkataka 8-2.

In Div 1 Pants moved to the top of the table as they saw off new boys Sand United Solent 8-2 while Jimmy Floyd Bottle Bank got a win against Portchy Pantherz but were knocked off the top on goal difference. Haven't Got a Kalou looked in fine form after lockdown as they comfortably beat Foxes Forest 5-0 while HMS St Albans had a points match win.

Thank you to the majority of teams for paying online, remember from next week it will be online online. See you all next week.
