THURSDAY NIGHT 6 A SIDE - PORTCHESTER

Well that week flew by with the long bank holiday weekend and we are somehow through two weeks of our new 6 a side season in Portchester already. Sergio have broken away by a point in the top flight, winning both of their 1st two matches, this week it was a 9 - 3 win against Who8AllThePie, Charlie Steele opening his account for the season with a hattrick while Jack Mitchell, Alan and Sam all chipped in with a couple each for the defending champions. HMS St Albans had to miss this week so Full Kit Wonkers benifitted with a 5 - 0 win while AFC Purbrook came away with a 4 - 3 win against Happy Sunflowers in a very entertaining 7 goal thriller.

Sigurdsson's maintain their winning start to the season in Division One with a comprehensive 10 - 3 win over Portchester Athletic, George Hare and Del Smith both netting hattricks to go 1st and 2nd in the golden boot race. Louis Yeoman's 2 goals just a consolation for Athletic. Also picking up a 2nd win of the season were Lads on Toure who edged a tight game against BSC Hung Boys 3 - 2 George Green, Alfie and Louis Shann all with goals for the joint leaders. Finally there was a 1st win for Pants who came out on top 6 - 4 against Chicken Tikkatakka. Neil Thorpe's 3 goals the difference to put the teams level on 2 points from two games so far this season.
