THURSDAY NIGHT ROUND UP - PORTCHESTER

Our 12 team Thursday Night season at Portchester Community School continued last night with week 8 of the season ticked off and another great night of action was on show. League leaders Sergio won 9 - 2 to maintain their 100% record, Jack Mitchell netting 3 against Cob FC who remain rooted to the base of the prem table. Happy Sunflowers sit above them but still inside the drop zone following their 8 - 1 defeat to Who8AllThePie who had Joe Neely in fine form in front of goal to secure himself a hattrick and his team a well deserved 2 points. We saw one of the greatest games of 6 a side for a long time in the final top flight match up between Full Kit Wonkers and AFC Purbrook. It ended with a crazy 7 - 7 scoreline following goals from Lloyd Martin, Jamie, Stu and Pep for Purbrook to match strikes from Andrew Elliott, Matthew Page, Owen Clayton, Alex Woods, Joe and Matt for Full Kit. What a game, well done to both sides! 

Division One leaders Sigurdsson's won again, 6 - 1 this week against Lads on Toure with Del banging in 3 for his team to maintain their 3 point lead over Chicken Tikkatakka who also won well this week, registering a 6 - 2 win against BSC Hung Boys thanks to a hattrick from Ryan Morgan. Pants took a 5 - 0 points win from their game this week with Portchester Athletic unable to get there. 

Big thanks to our team of refs at Portchester for their excellent efforts, we will be looking to expand this league when the new season starts on 10th November so if you have a side in the area get them registered and be ready for the new campaign in a few weeks.
