Season off to a flyer at Portchester Thursday 6 a side!

The new season got anyway on Thursday night at Portchester 6 a side. Hopefully all the teams have used the week of pre-season to prepare themselves well for the battles ahead as we approach the winter months. Will Sergio still be able to do it against Stroke Titty on a cold wet night in February. Only time will tell.

So we begin our results round up for the new season with the Champions Sergio. They took on Happy Sunflowers in the season opener and picked up where they left off with an impressive 5-1 victory over a good Happy Sunflowers side. Last seasons top goal scorer Bailey Steele bagged 2 along with Jack Mitchell while Charlie Steele also found the back of the net. However this result wasn't enough to put them straight to the top as last seasons runners up Roach on Toast picked up a big 13-2 victory in their match with new boys Lads On Toure. Viking FC went second with a 8-1 win against promoted Haven't Got A Kalou as Lewis Knight was rumoured to of scored 4 goals on top of 4 strikes from James Algar. Guessing Lewis finally went out and bought those shooting boots? Top effort! Finally a sole strike from Jack Small was enough for Stroke Titty to take the points in a cagey encounter with HMS St Albans.

Who's got what it take this season to take Division 1 by storm and make that big leap to the Premier League. Well it's Chicken Tikka Taka who went top due to Arthritis Utd paying for the fixture but not being able to make it on the day. Into second position on goals scored are Foxes Forest who started the season well with a 5-3 win over Who8AllThePie, captain Callum Holden notching a goal along with Albie Scottney along with three other mystery strikes. A goal from captain Kai Reid and Alex Black was not enough to prevent Jimmy Floyd Bottle Bank falling to a 4-2 defeat to Sands while Pants also lost on the opening day by the same scoreline, going down to Wanyama's In Pyjamas.

A big thank you to all the players, captains and of course the refs on the night.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE

All players must wear face masks through the school on the way in and on the way out. The majority of you do so thank you but we are getting emails from the school every week about the odd few that aren't and it has got to the point now that you won't be allowed in. It really isn't that difficult, you need them to go in all shops, everyone should have them, don't forget them. Finally no spectators at the moment! Thank you.
